Cotton lace is quite thick, so I don't usually attach images on top of it with thin tape. Here's one idea I've used: the image is attached with foam tape.
The girly card is of course also decorated with flowers.

This is beautiful Mari! The image is adorable! I love her outfit and long flowing hair. Great choice of flowers, bringing out the colours you chose for your image, and such pretty papers. I normally use little puffy pad squares of foam tape when I have to place an image over a strip of lace, just as you have done. It gives your card wonderful depth too!
